Application module: Generic expression

1 Scope

This part of ISO 10303 specifies the application module Generic expression. The following are within the scope of this part of ISO 10303:

• the definition of the complexity of the expression referring the number of terms, number of variable and number of operands;
• the exchange of expressions that involve both constants and variables;
• the computation of the variables used in an expression;
• the semantic definition of the variables giving the correct environment.

The following are outside the scope of this part of ISO 10303:

• the definition of the expressions type;
• the support to represent expressions functions;
• the specification for an imaginary number;
• the specification for a natural number constant.
